In my practice, I see a lot of people who struggle with depression, anxiety, stress, insomnia, poor memory and concentration, and many other ‘brain function’ disorders.  I’ve talked to many of you about the power of Brainwave Entrainment therapy as a tool to help with these various issues.  Today I wanted to provide a full review of what this is all about as I believe it is very powerful–and easily accessible to all of you.  Plus, all you have to do to enjoy it’s effects is simply sit back, relax, and listen!

Brainwave entrainment is basically training your brain to respond to specific stimuli in order to achieve desired change.  By changing your brainwave patterns, you can change your mental and emotional state. There are several applicable stimuli that can be used to change brainwave frequencies, but we are only going to discuss auditory, or sound, stimulus today. When a stimulus is presented to the brain in a rhythmic form that is strong enough and consistent enough, it will resemble the natural rhythm of the brain, and the brain will start to synchronize with the wave.  Why is this important?  Mental and emotional states are associated with specific brainwave frequencies, and when we can change your brainwaves by synchronizing them with specific rhythms, we can change the way you think and feel.

Studies have shown that specific brainwave frequencies are associated with different mental states. For instance, in a state of relaxation, your brain exhibits an Alpha wave, or about 8-12hz.  And, if you are feeling stressed, your brain would be in a Beta wave of about 12-27hz.  So, if you were feeling overly  stressed or anxious, you could listen to a programmed frequency for relaxation and your brainwaves would start to sync up with the induced wave form, slowing the electrical wave frequency, and thus allowing you to feel more calm.

Your brain is already naturally synchronizing with other wave forms all the time, you are just unaware of it. So why not take control of how your brain is functioning, and achieve fast and lasting changes in your life?  Brainwave entrainment is really like advanced meditation, but it gets you quickly into that prime Alpha wave space, where the most accomplished meditators attempt to be. It’s basically like a shortcut to reaping the benefits that years of practiced meditation might take to achieve.

Many companies have programming that can be highly customized to suit your preferences.  Programming can range from a few minutes to an hour or more, and can incorporate many different types of music and sounds, and even visual displays to suit your needs.
